What we play. 

It is fun to be able to hit about 70% of requests we receive (counting by artist and not specific song) - and thus our ultimate goal is to play across the spectrum of artists ( 221 artists at last count). But sometimes you have a truly favored artist. Below are the artists for whom we do 3+ songs (even though we might only play one or two of the below artists as desired at a certain gig) -

As seen above, McHanIx is NOT a band for smoky, dive bars with only older men, although Allen could play a couple sets of that nature if asked to.

The usual McHanIx set list is songs everyone knows adjusted to reflect the composition of audience - our goal is to try to make sure we hit on songs the different ages/genders in attendance might appreciate. Perhaps our strength is being able to offer that more broad based approach - see a McHanIx set list below at a laid back location with a mixed age (20 - 70) audience.  Other times, a venue may request upbeat songs concentrating on two decades which is fun too.

Since we do play restaurants/bars, wineries/breweries, and city events/festivals, we have built a repertoire covering 7 decades that allows us to vary/fit the different styles/places.  We find that venues often have a distinct preference - whether upbeat, background, rock, country, certain decades, or other - sometimes depending on manager that night.
